Group Obedience
A twelve-week course that builds reliable obedience around real distractions, then proof-tests it.
What improves: Walking on a loose leash, sit, down, stay and recall, plus boundary commands, some distance work, and general manners in public.
Price
$950per dog, whole course
Twelve weekly classes, so about $79 a class, plus the walking session and the owners-only lecture.
The repeat guarantee: Finish the twelve weeks. If the change you came for has not happened, take the whole course again free.
Who it suits
Owners who want the most out of their dog and are ready to practice between classes. Most people who take this course go on to find the Canine Good Citizen test straightforward.
Some dogs get looked at first
Dogs with a bite history, guarding behavior, or serious aggression are reviewed by the trainer before a place is reserved. That is not a refusal, it is about whether a group class is the right starting point.

Walking session
Meets about a week before the course starts, so you can feel how changing the walk begins to change the dog.
Your dog attends
Owner-only lecture
A three-hour session at the trainer's home covering why dogs do what they do, how they communicate, and what the household needs to agree on. This is the only meeting dogs do not attend.
Owner-only, dogs do not attend
Weekly classes

Dates are arranged with you
This program runs to a schedule the trainer sets with you, so there is no calendar to click. Tell us what your dog does and you get the real dates, the venue and the full cost before anything is due.The repeat guarantee
Finish the twelve weeks. If the change you came for has not happened, take the whole course again free.
Attend the classes and do the daily practice. If, by the end of the twelve weeks, your dog is not where you wanted them to be, you can take the entire course again at no cost.
What you need to do
- You attend the weekly classes. If you have to miss one, tell the trainer and they will show you how to catch up. Missing more than two sessions means there is not enough shared work to build on, and the guarantee does not apply.
- You do the practice between classes. Around twenty to thirty minutes a day is what the course is designed around. Class is where the work is checked, not where it happens.
- You tell the trainer you are claiming it by the final session, or within thirty days of it.
What you get
A place in a later twelve-week course, at no cost. Because a class is capped at eight dogs, you may wait for a course that has room. You keep the same trainer and the same course content.
Where it does not apply
- Dogs with a bite history, guarding behavior, or behavior that puts other dogs at risk are not placed in a group class. Those cases start with private training, which has its own arrangement.
- If your dog has to be removed from a class for the safety of the group, the guarantee does not apply. You would be told why, and private training would be the next step.
It is not a refund. It is not a promise that every dog will get there in twelve weeks. It is a commitment that the trainer does not stop at twelve.
If this sounds like your dog, say so. Two minutes, nothing charged, no place held. You get the dates, the venue and the full cost back before anything is due.
The walk changes first. Then everything after it.
My pup Violet and I went to Scott for training. Scott was not only knowledgeable but also patient with the dogs and their owner. He not only helps to train your dog but he also trains the owner, which is essential for your dog to be successful long term. Violet is now 4 years old and can walk off leash, and her recall is great. I would use Scott again for any future training, and recommend him to others.
My wife and I took 2 of our dogs through Scott's classes. We were blown away by the practical, simple, and impactful tips Scott gave us during out time with him. Scott was patient, kind, and attentive to each of our dog's personalities and bents, and took the time to give us personal insight into each dog.
It is very obvious to us that Scott loves what he does, and is truly a person who cherishes his (and ours) dogs. He is truly gifted, insightful, and confident in what he teaches because it works- we've seen it firsthand.
If you are struggling with your relationship with your dog, and are discouraged about what to do, please see Scott. He will share with you his wisdom and experience in such a way that it helps you and your dog have "freedom" in your time together, and help alleviate the frustration over undesired canine behavior.
Years ago, I read Cesar Millan's first book, Cesar's Way, which began my journey into becoming a more effective pack leader. It was a terrific foundation, but without hands-on guidance, there was only so much progress I could make on my own.
In 2016, I was fortunate to find Scott's Peacemaker Dog Training course here in Fresno. Scott takes the pack leader approach and applies it in a way that's practical, personalized, and easy to understand for both dog and owner. He quickly assesses each client's needs, recognizes breed-specific tendencies and temperaments, and offers clear, sound guidance.
It was incredibly rewarding to watch my dog's confidence and skills grow, and it was just as enjoyable seeing the other dogs and owners progress from week to week. I've attended Scott's classes with two different dogs and have also taken advantage of his boarding services. Scott has my highest recommendation.
I have gone through Scott's training with 2 of my dogs. Both coming out of training 100% better than when they went in. The first was a pug (Clovis), who would have thought...I've always heard you can't "really" train a pug WRONG. Scott worked with us and I had the absolute BEST pug ever when training was over. The second dog was my Doberman (Tyson), which can be somewhat intimidating to correct but Scott's training techniques work! Since his classes my relationship with my pets have been stronger than ever. I highly recommend Scott and his classes! Remember a trained dog is a safer dog
My pitbull, Max went throgh 2 sessions of his dog training. Each time we learned alot that helped us handle Max.Scott explains the why's of each command and is patient with each client and pet. Max also spent several times boarded as well. You will find Scott uses old school as well as current techniques in his training.
All 3 of my dogs have been through Scott's training, and each time, I learned more. They are safe, well behaved, and have freedom because of Scott's training. It's a worthwhile investment with big returns. Highly recommend!
Scott is a great trainer. He will train you how to be viewed as a leader by your dog, and this will help you get your dog to follow your commands. I highly recommend his group training class.
Scott is a very knowledgeable, and great dog trainer whose techniques work great, he truly cares about dogs and making dogs and humans work together as best as they can be.
Very helpful and useful in getting my dog to be a better companion. The best training in Fresno.

Before you decide.
Where are the classes held?
Outdoors at Vinland Park, 4695 E Gettysburg Ave, Fresno, CA 93726, in east Fresno. It is a normal neighborhood park, so there are other dogs, kids and joggers around. That is on purpose: a dog that only holds a sit in a quiet room has not learned a sit.
How much time will this take at home?
Plan on roughly 20 to 30 minutes a day during the twelve-week course. Short, consistent sessions do more than one long session at the weekend. If that is not realistic for you right now, say so, a different program may suit you better, and it is better to find that out before you pay.
What does the twelve-week course actually cost?
The course is $950 per dog for all twelve weeks. The full amount, any deposit, and the date the balance is due are all shown on the cohort before you pay anything.
Is my dog suitable for a group class?
Most dogs are. Dogs with a bite history, guarding behavior, or serious aggression are reviewed by the trainer first. That is not a refusal, it is about whether a group class is the right place to start, and whether your dog would do better with private work first.
Where do classes meet?
The venue and the full list of meeting dates are shown on each cohort before you commit to anything. One meeting is an owner-only lecture where dogs do not attend, so you know in advance which session to come without your dog.
