The things people ask before they book.
Straight answers, including the ones where the honest answer is “that depends”.
Choosing the right training
Is my dog suitable for a group class?
Most dogs are. Dogs with a bite history, guarding behavior, or serious aggression are reviewed by the trainer first. That is not a refusal, it is about whether a group class is the right place to start, and whether your dog would do better with private work first.
How old does my dog need to be?
Group obedience classes require dogs to be at least four months old, and five months is strongly suggested. Puppies generally cannot grasp formal obedience before about four months, which is why the puppy session is behavior guidance rather than obedience training.
What happens if my dog needs reviewing first?
You send the details, the trainer reads them and contacts you directly to talk it through. A review request does not hold a class place and does not promise a particular outcome. You will not be asked to pay for a class seat while a review is still open.
Cost, time and commitment
How much time will this take at home?
Plan on roughly 20 to 30 minutes a day during the twelve-week course. Short, consistent sessions do more than one long session at the weekend. If that is not realistic for you right now, say so, a different program may suit you better, and it is better to find that out before you pay.
What does the twelve-week course actually cost?
The course is $950 per dog for all twelve weeks. The full amount, any deposit, and the date the balance is due are all shown on the cohort before you pay anything.
How the classes run
Where do classes meet?
The venue and the full list of meeting dates are shown on each cohort before you commit to anything. One meeting is an owner-only lecture where dogs do not attend, so you know in advance which session to come without your dog.
What methods do you use?
Training balances rewards, food, praise, affection, toys, with clear consequences for behavior you do not want, the way dogs correct each other in a pack. Classes are held in places with real distractions, other dogs, and other people, because that is where behavior actually has to hold. If you want to talk through the approach before booking, call and ask.
Booking
Do I need an account to book?
No. You should not need to create an account simply to book a class or ask a question. Where a booking provider requires one, that trade-off will be stated before you start.
What we will not tell you
We will not tell you how many weeks it will take, because that depends on your dog and how much practice happens between classes. Anyone who quotes a guaranteed timeline has not met your dog.
Still not sure?
Describe what is happening and the trainer will tell you which program fits, or whether you should look at private training first. (559) 250-2582
Policies before payment
Cancellation, refund, deposit, attendance and rescheduling terms are shown and acknowledged before any payment. They are not published here yet because the owner is still confirming the current wording, and a policy page that guesses at its own terms is worse than one that admits it does not have them yet.
